Another name for Shraddha is Shri Dabhodiya Dham.
Welcome to the holy land.
In the holy place of Bajrang Bali
In the village of Dabhoda in Gandhinagar district, there is a 1000-year-old temple with a self-manifested statue of Hanuman. During the reign of the Mughals, the king of Patan took refuge in the dense forest of Dabhoda after Alauddin Khilji invaded Patan. At that time a dense forest of Devgad was situated on this place. Shepherds used to come to the forest of Devgad to graze the cows and livestock of the king. One of them, Tildi, used to get rid of the herd of cows, stand at a fixed place and bow down and return to the herd of cows in the evening. The shepherds investigated the matter and reported the whole incident to the king. The king did his own investigation and as per the advice of the royal priest, as per some miracle, excavation was done there and as soon as the idol of Hanumanji Dada was found there, a big yagna was held there and the idol was installed there, and it was established as Shri Dabhodia Hanumanji Temple and the village that was formed there when humans settled there is known as Dabhoda village today.
